London (Re-post from Journals)

Going to London:
I'm finally on the plane to London. Am I excited? Hmmm.. I think I'm more tired than excited. Went straight home from work, pack and off to the airport without any sleep. The flight from SFO to Chicago took 5 hours, 2 hours stop over and another 9 hours from Chicago to London. When we landed in London, they made us fill out a landing form. I finally got a little excited that my 10-month wait to Europe is finally over. We arrived to Heathrow around 8am, went through Customs and got my first stamp in my passport. Yay!

London:
It's almost 3:30am. I can't sleep or I'm just fully awake. Yesterday was the most exhausting day ever due to lack of sleep on the plane. I went to bed at 9:30pm and here I am-fully awake. Anyways, we arrive to the airport about 8ish. My plan was to get to the hotel by 10 to leave our luggage but we didn't get there until 11ish, b/c we got a little lost and our luggage was so heavy. (Rule of thumb: always take ½ clothes and twice the $$. If not, you should be able to carry what you bring and buy. It's only fair!) I was a little piss @ Wendy, b/c I carried one of her heavy luggage that had water inside-imagine 2-liter and 16 small bottles, I told her that we should get rid of it. Her excuse was that she's allergic to the water in Europe, but I know she wanted to save some $$, she says the water was for us- but at the end, it was mainly for her. Beside, if anyone knows me, knows that I try to pack as light as possible. I wanted to call a Taxi, but I could tell she didn't want too. The hotel was pretty nice; we stayed at the Hilton in the financial area.

We left our luggage at the hotel. Then we went to Notting hill for Portobello Market. Somehow we got lost after taking the underground and then the bus. (Actually they were having constructions done that weekend, so some stops were not available.) People are quite rude; "They don't excuse themselves," like they are in a rush or something. Seem like they just mind their own business. Man, if London is this bad- I can't imagine how Paris would be? Anyways, we finally got to Portobello Market. It started to rain, so I brought an umbrella for the both of us and 15 mins. after it stop raining. (WTF!) I brought a few souvenirs for family, friends and co-workers. Then we headed over to watch "Stomp", it was ok. It has it moments, but there were time where both of us were falling a sleep. (You have to understand that it's 3pm, we barely slept on the plane and our last meal on the plane was just a croissant and some juices.) After the show, we went to this upscale pizza place called "Fire & Stone". We both order a pizza each; Wendy's Marrakech lamb pizza was so yummy that we finish her and barely touched my spicy Thai pizza, which didn't taste so good. I wonder if people in London tip? B/c the 2 girls at the next table didn't leave any tip at all. Neither of us know whether we should tip or not, so we left a small tip. I wanted to leave more tip b/c the service was nice, but Wendy say it was fine. Which ticks me off a bit, so I gave a little more as Wendy walked out, in front of me.

Next we went around to Convent Garden for some shopping and then back to our hotel, but both of us thought it was too early to go back to the hotel. So we went around to Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown and then Trafalgar Sq. for some shopping. Brought a few things at H&M for $43 bucks only, then Wendy reminded me that it's pounds (2x the US Dollars). Oh shit, it's too late already. Chinatown was really small and pricey, a drink would normally cost 1.25us cost me $1.50 in pounds. I brought a few cans of Chinese drinks that were $1.80 pound each.-since I was tired of water and Cola. (By the way, London's Cola or sodas are flat. At first, I thought I was unlucky to get 2 flat Cola. I guess, they prefer it like that.) Usually I don't mind people smoking, but it seem as though everyone smoke, even the kids. Got back to the hotel, re-pack my stuff and advised Wendy it's better to leave the water, b/c it too heavy. She made a smart remark stating she'll carry it, ok then whatever. Shower and then went to sleep by 9:30 pm and now its 3:45. Maybe I'll take another nap and go for a jog or something. I'm hoping today will be better.

London
After my short nap, I decided to go for a morning walk by myself with my mp3 so I can absorb London. It was so relaxing that I wonder why I don't do this often. I decided to buy us some fresh pastry and juices for breakfast. =) Finally a friendly smile from a jogger and a simple thank you from the clerk was all I needed.

We basically checked out the Tower of London, walked across the Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe- took a mini tour and learn about the Rose Theater's history, which was quite interesting then off to the Tate Museum. After we took a mini cruise down to London eye, it was down and the lines were too long. (Beside Linda say it wasn't worth $25 bucks.) Suddenly it started to pour, so we went to the Aquarium for a little bit. Wendy really liked the Aquarium, but I wasn't really into it unless I brought a child there. We walked pass Big Ben, checked out Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. Felt a little sad for Princess Diana- the life she had with Charles and what happened to her. We did some shopping at another H&M, then checked out Harold's and Harvey's- both department stores were way out of my budget, even if I were rich I don't think I'll spent that much $$ at these stores. After we brought our luggage to Royal National Hotel and checked in w/ Contiki. We did some shopping around Russell Square.

Amsterdam (Re-post from Journals)

We’re finally taking the ferry across the English Channel to Calais, France. (Which took a little an hour.)The tour manager, Kristy seems pretty cool and the driver Craig was funny. I finally meet Samantha and her bf- they seem pretty cool. Once we got back on the tour bus, we did a little speed dating game for about 45 mins to break the ice. I thought it was cool, you get to learn their names and what they look forward too on this trip but I was so tired of asking questions and talking about myself after the third person. ( I guess, speed dating is not for me.) I admit it was quite interesting learning about people, their daily life and interests. After we filled out our optional excursions form for the tour, I wasn't planning to do much of it before the trip b/c it was pretty pricey, but at the end I decided to do almost everything except for 2. =) I'm here anyways-mind as well.

We didn't get to the hotel till 7pm, instead of 4am. =( Traffic was pretty bad due to a tragic accident. After a quick dinner buffet, we headed over for a night canal cruise that's when I learned that Kristy went to China backpacking for a month w/ her friends. I thought that was pretty neat but not something I plan to do. When the Canal cruise was over, we head into the Red Light Districts to watch a Dutch Culture Show. I agree that Amsterdam wouldn't be nearly as popular as the other European cities, if Marijuana and prostitution weren't legalized. Oh man, I felt bad for the girl- you can tell they are not happy. Who would be? I thought the Culture show was a bit boring, but Contiki made it fun to watch especially when they sent the volunteers from our tour on stage. (Ok. Guys! I promise, what happen on stage or in Amsterdam stays there. Ha-ha.) The show turned out funny and luckily we didn't have to stay there to long. Off to Grasshopper, I wanted to smoke or at least try the space cake, but not by myself or w/ people I didn't know or around Wendy, who didn't want to try it at all. Grasshopper closes their bars at 1am; I was surprise that it was so early-maybe b/c it was a weekday. So we decided to head back to the hotel, since it wasn't safe to stay there. One of the tour mate got rob, even though it was only $15- I'm just glad he didn't get hurt.

After our breakfast buffet, we had only 4 hours to do whatever we want before leaving Amsterdam. We checked out Anne Frank Museum, it took me back when I was in Junior High reading her dairy. Can't believe they stayed in such a small space for 2 years, while hiding from the Nazi. It was really moving, too bad we are not allow to take pictures but I did brought some postcards. After I wanted to check out the Heineken Factory, but Wendy kept whining that we don't have enough time. I thought 2 hours is more than enough. We did a little shopping and Wendy was getting on my nerves for taking so long at each shop. So I told her we meet back in 40 mins- that way I get some time by myself. I brought a few things and tried fries w/ mayo and a hint of hot sauce. =) It was good. There is definitely no place like Amsterdam; I really wish my friends and sis was here- it would be fun and silly.

St. Goar & Munich

St. Goar
After 6 hours on the coach, we arrived at St. Goar; which was similar to Napa valley but produces mainly white wine. There was a wine tasting demo, which I decided to pass since its white wine. The hotel wasn't that great and no TV. St. Goar is simply a peaceful, sleepy little town, which I don't think I will be able to live in. St. Goar is home to the world's largest free-stand cuckoo clock and beer stein. I was planning to buy 2 beer stein for my dad and myself, =( however I figure it was too much trouble to carry it back home and through out the tour. We took some pics and walked around the small town.

Munich
On our way to the hotel, we passed by the Olympic stadium; BMW's and Mercedes-Benz's headquarter. I'm not sure what's the big deal what seeing BMW and Mercedes' headquarter? Anyways, we got into Munich about 5pm to check out the Glockenspiel, which was kind of boring. We were free to do anything we want for the rest of the night. We did some shopping and things were pretty cheap, especially compared to London. I thought it was cool how they have Forever 18 instead if Forever 21. I brought a white shirt for the whiteout party in Austria and this yellow tank top for Nancy; hopefully she'll like it. The warm roasted Almonds was really good, I wish I had some beer w/ it. We decided to meet up with tour group at the Hofbrau (aka beer hall) for dinner. As I recall from Kristy, it was during Hitler's rise to power- it was a place where he often gave speeches to the Nazi party.

The Hofbrau was fully pack that many of us separated, which I didn't mind at all since many of them were standing in the back drinking beer. A family of 4 didn't mind sharing a table w/ Wendy, a couple from the tour and I. Since the Germans didn't speak much English, we had to point at someone else's Pork Knuckles to order. I wanted to try something else, but Wendy was a little annoyed and stated that we can't read the menu so how can we order? I told her that we could point again. ha-ha.. but I know she didn't want to spend the extra money. Which sucks b/c the only thing I wanted to do on this trip was to try different food from different countries. Anyways, I order a stein of beer, which is equal to 1 liter. =) Man, this was one good beer and the pork knuckles makes it way better! Everyone was having a good time and I wanted another stein of beer, but I figure I better not, just in case I need the restroom on our way home, but I did have a small beer. I actually had a very good time tonight. Everyone clapped and moved to the music. One thing I loved about the beer hall was that it was crowd w/ natives and tourists together having a great time. A place, where family and friends can share dinner and have some good beer. Just having a good time clapping, singing and some dancing. It was definitely a warm feeling. We didn't see much of Munich, just some shopping and the beer hall was good enough for me.

Austria (Re-post from Journals)

We headed over to Innsbruck, Austria, where we crossed over the German Austrian border- that took about 3 or so hours. Kristy say that many people come all over the world here to visit b/c of "The Sound of Music". I remember this movie when I was in the first grade- many many years ago, =) singing along to the "Do-Re-Mi" songs. You guys (especially the girls) know what I'm talking about. ha-ha. Austria's scenery is really breath talking, too bad my camera wasn't able to capture it's beauty. I guess you guys have to see it in person.

We stopped at the Rafting site for those who wanted to raft. I persuaded Wendy to go, since she hasn't done it before and to stop worry about how much it cost. I didn't go b/c the Alps water was too cold to be rafting in; beside I've done it before and would rather do it w/ friends. While people went rafting, we lost 2 of our tour mates and began searching for almost 20 mins. to find out that they misunderstood where we were suppose to wait. We went down to the café and waited for the rafter to come downstream where we were. During this time, I tried Goulash and it was yummy! I guess the cold weather w/ the warm soup was a very good combination. About 5 people asked how I know Wendy, I didn't tell people she was my aunt b/c she didn't want people to know how old she was and I also didn't want people to know we are related. (I know I'm mess up- but hey it’s a win-win situation.) I told them we are just friends and to ignore when she's brats about herself, she just doesn't know when to stop and they all laughed. (You have to understand that the whole time, she been brattling on and on about where's she travel too, the expensive places she goes to eat and that she doesn't work. Sometime it's just very embarrassing watching the way she acts. Sometimes I wonder why she acts dumb to get attention.) Anyways, the people from rafting got back and Wendy's raft flipped over-everyone except Wendy and this other girl stayed on. For some reason, Wendy told everyone she can't swim and people kept telling her she's brave for rafting. Dude! Wtf! She knows how to swim and she knows that I know she knows how to swim. Why is she lying in front of me again? I gave her this look why is she lying? By the way, you don’t need to know how to swim to go rafting, you have life jackets.

Anyways, we stopped at the city centre for 2.5 hours shopping spree. Oh my, this actually felt like a European city as I pictured in my mind. We went to Swarovski Crystal gallery; I thought it was going to be cheaper than the US. Oh well, I'm here once so I mind as well spend a little. Wendy brought this belt that was half price from 118 marked down to 59 euro. I thought it was kind of ugly and I thought she doesn't have much $$, why is she spending $$ on this ugly thing? Oh well, I guess we are have different taste. I brought 3 necklaces, 2 as birthday gifts- I hope they will like it cause I'm not sure if you can return it in the States. After Swarovski, I told Wendy that we should spilt up for an hour to explore on our own. I brought this pastry that looked good, but one bite I threw it again. I guess, I learned my lesson from judging something by its cover. Later, while waiting for Wendy, I brought a small espresso that was almost 6 euro not including tips- but it was so good! Maybe it was the environment that makes it so good and relaxing.

After our shopping spree, we headed back to out hotel for a whiteout party. It was basically a party where everyone was wearing white and there was black light that made the white glow or reflects. It was all right; I had 2 red bulls w/ vodka. Kristy mentioned that the bartender used to be a Calvin Klein model so we have to check him out. Well, he actually pretty cute and handsome; better than what I imagine to be. I thought he would be a skinny European guy. =) But he was pretty muscular, that's a big plus! At the party, I talked to a few people and chilled a little bit. It was tonight that I learned that I didn't want try to hard to make new friends. You can say that watching Wendy trying so hard to fit in to make new friends- just not worth it. Anyways, I told Wendy that I'm heading back to the room and tell her it's ok to stay; which she did and I was glad b/c I wanted some alone time. Went back to the room, listen to some music and read for bit. Somehow Wendy got back within an hour, so I guess I have to cut my alone time short.

Venezia (Re-post from Journals)

I had the best day so far on this trip; I decided not to allow Wendy to spoil this trip for me. I decided to be the traveler and not a tourist no more. (As Kristy would say it.) After all, I'm here once only. Kristy went over some of the highlights and suggested that we should get lost in Venice. As we walked closer to St. Mark square, a smile out of nowhere- suddenly appeared and there this feel good feeling that I'm really here in Venice or should I say Venezia. =) The gondola ride seems surreal that I had to pitch myself. Ouch! Ok, I'm really, really here. Wow! The whole entire time, I was just absorbing the whole scenery! Wow and wow! I'm really here. It's been one of my fave cities when I was a little kid. I have always thought Venice was really romantic and magically. However, the canals are not as magical nor that romantic. People dispose of waste in the canals which includes sewage of all kinds. (Yes! even that kind. ewww.) I thought Amsterdam's canal was nicer, nevertheless there's no place or city like Venice.

We hanged out with Justine and Jason, a cute couple from Los Angeles. They were pretty cool and the best thing I liked about them was that they are real and not fake. Kristy told us not to spent more than 10-15 euro on a knock-off purse. But I thought it was funny how Justine was saying that people should not buy knock-off purse that it's not worth a penny, which I totally agree. Why have something fake because you can't afford, then it makes you fake. It was so funny when Wendy was trying to agree w/ Justin that it's not worth it, but I know she does buy it. Oh well, I not sure whether I'm use to her lying or she's use to lying in front of me? Anyways, all of us went and did a little shopping and of course, we had
our first gelato except for Wendy. =) It was small but good. Then we had a nice dinner that was a little pricey, but it was worth it since we are in Venice!

On our ferry ride back to our hotel, I sat there watching as we headed farther away from Venice. Venice is so beautiful at night; it was just amazing and surreal. I'm really looking forward to Rome. For now, I'm going to check out the expensive Internet at the hotel and watch some Italian MTV.

Ps.
There are 2 toilets in each bathroom in Italy, one for male and one for the females.

Roma (Re-post from Journals)

On our drive to Rome, we passed by another Contiki tour bus. To our surprise, one of the guys flashed (his chest.) While the others made some silly signs for us to read; so we decided to get them back. We also made some silly signs and Craig the driver decided to take off his shirts while driving. As we passed by the bus for the second time, the other driver (A GIRL) also took off her shirts and the same guy flashed his ass this time. Dang! I Guess we lost, however out of nowhere Liz (who was sitting next to me) decided to flashed her chest.. =) Oh man, that was a really funny moment on the bus!

We arrived into Rome about 3pm. The whole area was really different and old, but it's Rome! Kristy warmed us about the gypsies, what they looked like and that it's best to wear a money belt to avoid being pickpocket, but I didn't. The tour bus dropped us off on the top of the Spanish steps. For some reason, Wendy was in a little pissy mood, where she was being rule again. I'm guessing that she didn't like where and whom she was sitting with on the bus. Anyway, don't take that out on me. I'm not going to tolerate that lady! Anyways the Spanish step was all right, nothing special. Then we have 1-2 hours to walk around before dinner. We first headed over to the Trevi fountain, it was really crowded but I did make my wish. I still can't believe I'm really here making a wish! =) Beside Venice, this was definitely my 2 nd best moment! The tradition of the Trevi fountain is to make a wish as you throw your shoulder and into the foundation. One coin was to secure a return to Rome. Two coins were to secure the love of a desire partner and three coins were to secure a marriage.

Then we headed over to the Pantheon, it was also crowded. We finally got in and it was cool especially the oculus aka hole on the roof. Wendy was in a little pissy mood again; because I told her that I don't think I want to check out the high-end shopping tomorrow-however we can splits up and meet back at the Coliseum. I didn’t want to miss out of the Coliseum b/c of some window shopping. Beside she doesn’t even buy any or pay retail for it. Jason, Justin and I decided to get a big gelato this time; it was good- too bad Wendy decided not to get one again. We walked around the square outside of the Pantheon for some shopping and then off to dinner at this theater place. Dinner looked good, but didn't taste too good. I'm getting tired of Italian food.

Vatican City (Re-post from Journals)

Craig dropped us off at the Vatican about 8:00am. The line wrapped around the outer wall, which took us about 2 hours to get in. The museums at the Vatican can be a little overwhelming, but for some reason I loved it. The Vatican was great, though Wendy was rushing like crazy. I try to take as much time as I was allowing myself before Wendy say something. Then I asked Wendy if she believed in God and Jesus, she asked why and then say No. This explains why she was in a rush, since nothing really interested her. I know I irritated her a bit, when I was taking my time picking out a rosary. (Now she knows how it felt everytime she buys something.) Man, there was so many different types of rosary and the price range was from $10 euro to $500+ all depending if you want something from silver and gold. I picked out a few rosaries that weren't too expensive. =) I figure God would understand and wouldn't mind.

Then we walked down to the Sistine Chapel and I was overwhelmed with the ceiling filled with Michelangelo's artwork like the Last judgment. I want to take a photo, but a rude Japanese tourist blur out that picture and flashes were not allow. Fine then, I took a quick video just to piss her off. Ha-ha.. It came out ok, since it was dark. Next we went into St. Peter Church and took a few pictures, there was a picture I took with 2 angels that seem so a live in the photo- it was one of my fave pictures b/c it gave me a warm feeling that the angels is indeed watching over me. (I know I sound a bit corny.) Before heading off into Rome for the rest of the day, we checked out St. Peter's Square and a few gift shops for souvenirs. We also brought some pizza; it was good though I couldn't finish it. In Rome, Pizza are sold by it’s weight and I asked for one slice but the lady gave me 2 slices of pizza that was fold together like a sandwich. Oh well it was too late to tell her. However it was too much that I couldn't even finish half. But I got to admit that the pizza was pretty good, maybe b/c I'm in Rome? As we walked down the street, there was a bunch of smart cars on the road. If you think Mini copper are small, think again. I took a picture of a red one to show Joanne.

We headed over to the Naval Monument (Aka the wedding cake.) Then we took this mini-bus to the Coliseum that took about 10 mins or so. After we got off, we realize that we could have easily walked there in 5 mins, since it was around the corner of the Naval Monument. We laughed it off. As we walked toward the Coliseum, Wendy wanted to buy some t-shirts from this street vendor. I was piss b/c it took almost 30 mins. (I'm not kidding.) to buy some freaking T-shirts, the thing is that she was flirting w/ the Indian guy, who was not even cute a bit. She told him she was from Milan and can get it really cheap there. Ohmigod, what a freaking liar! All this trouble just so she can save a lousy save $10 euro. Yeah, she went there for a month, doesn't make you from the city. All you have to do is say you have this much, take it or leave it. It was to the point where I told her; let's go it's taking too long. Ok, maybe at the end she saved $15, but if made her look so cheap.

We are finally at the Coliseum. All I can say it was big and ancient. I wanted to stay longer then 4:15 and have nice dinner in Rome, since there wasn't going to be dinner or anything else to do back at the hotel. I even told Wendy that I don't mind paying for the Taxi, at first she agree that it's a good idea. But she changed her mind after some tour mates say it wasn't safe. Which I thought was stupid, if it wasn't safe why did Kristy gave us which metro line to take back to the hotel. When we were taking the metro back, one of the tour mates was telling how wonderful the Vatican was and then Wendy told her that she would have spent a whole peaceful day there. (WTF! That was what I told her when we were at St. Peter. I gave her a quick stare and she didn't look at me. What a liar and faker.)

Anyways, we got back hotel and changed into more comfortable clothing. Everyone placed an order for pizza. As we waited for our order to come, Wendy hanged out at the lobby while I was in the lawn sitting there with a bunch of tour mates, which was pretty cool. There were a few good laughs and it was just relaxing. Then when our order came, Wendy say let's go back to the room b/c she allergic to the lawn. Seriously I thought she would have asked me if I wanted take my share and stayed there or eat at the lobby. I was kindly of upset, but figure I should have still ate the pizza w/ her in the room regardless- it would be nice and unselfish of her if she asked, if I wanted to stay.

Florences (Re-post from Journals)

We arrived Florence about 1:30pm for a group photo. We decided to pass the leather demonstrations and went straight for gelato instead. This time around, Wendy finally decided to get one. (I was surprise.) We were planning to see the Statue of David, but the line was way too long, so we decided to pass that- I wasn't even a bit disappointed. I figure I probably didn't miss out on much except for a big $20 WOW! Instead we did a little shopping, took pictures in front of the Duomo and had lunch at a sidewalk café. Wendy was a little rude to the waiter and I was afraid that he might splits in our food. I thought it was funny how the street vendors would scoop up their designer knock-offs just in time to avoid being confiscated by the police. However the very second the police passed them by, they would put their products back on the streets. Basically the police know what's going, they are allowing it but yet they must try to act like they are obeying the laws. You have too understand that street vendors=tourist= money.

At the end, we walked back to the Piazza Della Signoria, Florence's town square where the replica of Michelangelo's Statue of David was and took some pictures and right before we were suppose to meet up with our tour. I found Absinthe, yay! I brought 2 small bottles, since the guy at the shop say it was ok to bring it back to the US, as long as you hide it in your clothes. Come on now, I might be a tourist but do I look that stupid! I knew it was illegal but it was worth a try though. I can always act like I didn't know if Customs finds out. (Knocking on wood!)

Tonight was the big fancy Tuscany dinner that everyone paid $50 for, so I'm hoping it was worth it. Dinner was not bad at all; I can say I had fun tonight. After 3 glasses of Red wine, I joined in one of the dance and it was fun. For some reason, alcohol definitely made things a little better. The opera singer was pretty good, I wish I had her voice, it was so nice even though I didn't understood a word she was singing, but I guess that's the power of music.

After the dinner, many of us went to "Club Space". It was a little different than the clubs in the US, they have Karaoke on the main floor and the dancing area was upstairs. Everyone was given a punch card for drinks before entering the club. Instead of paying for drinks at the bar, they would punch a hole for each drink. At the end of the night, the cashier will total up your punch card and after you paid-you'll get a receipt to exit. (Even if you don't drink you'll still get a receipts to leave.) I thought this was a great idea, since I tend to always lose money. However, it can be bad if I lost the card or have too many punches. Yikes! Anyways, the club was ok. It's not same without your friends, if you know what I mean. However I did have fun, even though I was embarrass by Wendy- dancing in the cage by her-self. I have nothing against people showing off and dancing in the cage, as long as you're a good dancing. (Enough say.)

We went back to out hotel about 1-2ish since we had to be up and ready by 8 in the morning. Since 8 of us left the club at the same time, Wendy and I took separate taxi back to the hotel. On the ride home, Emily-the girl who got really drunk tonight start apologizing for the way she was acting, explaining to us that she-that she usually hold back. I know that feeling before. I told her it's ok and the most important part was that she had fun right. Then I thought it was funny how she starts admitting that she had a crush on the driver. After we got back to the hotel, I felt a little homesick and decided to use the Internet in lobby wearing my girly Paul Frank Pj's. Ok, I was a little buzz, which makes it longer to type each emails- I was able to sent out 3 emails before my internet's minutes was over. I guess it was time for bed. Linda was right, the Italian are so nice but I guess 4 days of Italian foods was too much for me to handle!

Lucerne/Switzerland (Re-post from Journals)

Everyone was up and ready by 7:30 am to leave Florence. However the bus broke down for almost 3 hours, too bad everyone checked out. I wouldn't have mind staying in my room or staying out a bit later at the clubs. I went for a walk and got myself some breakfast since I only had a juice for breakfast. I never knew I was that picky when it comes to food, but I guess I am. I rather starve then just eat anything, especially if it's bland. No, I didn't get gelato this time; I think I had enough gelato and Italian food for the past few days. Finally the bus was good to go and off to Switzerland we go. =) yay!

We passed by Lake Como and Wendy got all excited and parade to everyone's that George Clooney lives there. Who give an S****? We finally got into town about 6:30 pm and did some shopping and I brought a bunch of souvenirs-since my trip was about to end and I didn't even buy much for anyone? Of course, I brought chocolates! (6 bags to be exact.) Hmmm.. I wonder how much 271 Franks and 78 Franks equals to on credit? Oh well, I'll find out when I get my statements. After our shopping, I wanted to have a nice dinner before Wendy's friends or so-called Italian bf came to town to visit her. I was just tired of hotel food and wanted a good meal- that's all. Somehow Wendy manages to make up some excuse for not going. I figure she didn't want to spend the money, but it was worth a try.

Ok, I know I told Wendy before hand that it was all right for so-called Italian bf to come and visit, and for her to spent the night w/ him. However that was before I knew we were staying in a hotel that use to be a jail! (Trust me! a night there, will definitely keep you honest for life-so that you wouldn't want to be in Jails!) Even thought they have a upscale club downstairs, don't trust the brochure.. It's really a jail cell w/ heavy metal doors. As we got in the jail-cell room, I admit I was a bit afraid –hey you never know if anyone have die there? So as we unloading our luggage, I made a comment that it's too creepy for anyone to stay here. Yes, I was hoping that Wendy would say that she would back late. Instead she quickly made a quick comment that you're be fine- "You'll be locked up." WTF! That's the point; I don't want to be lock up! I was so piss! After I took a shower I went to bed and when she came out of the shower, she asked if I wanted to go to dinner and I say No. She just left and when she came back, she acted like nothing happen and ask if I wanted to walk around town and I rudely told her, "Can't you see I'm in bed?" Next thing I know she just left.

Anyways, I left the light on while sleeping. It was so hard sleeping with the lights turned on; I was tossing and turning the whole night. I woke up about 4ish and can't believe Wendy really dis me like that, so much for family. What a F**** B****! (Excuse my French or whatever you call it.) I was so piss that I wasn't scare anymore! But there was a side of me that was so hurt that I sat there looking around the jail ceil, wondering how I even got here. I guess the mind plays a trick on you. I wanted to cry, but I wouldn't let the tears come down. She was not worth it, what a F**** B***, no wonder she doesn't have much "REAL friends"- if you keep using them. You know what, what goes around comes around. I'm sorry but I believe in Karma and maybe it's the only way that she'll learn. I use too pity her, but now.. f** that.. Don't expect people to care about you when you don't even give a S** about them. Once we get back in the States, I don't want anything to do w/ this selfish person.

Somehow I manage to get back to bed after thinking about a few things in my mind. I woke up about 6am, pack my things and left Wendy a note that I'll be in the lobby-since she took the keys with her and once the door closes it automatically locks. Anyways, I meet up w/ the group and Wendy about 7ish and all of us headed over to Mt. Stanserhorn, which is a mountain that overlooks Lucerne. The mini mountain car for 4 (or whatever you call it.) up the summit and once we got up there, we had half an hour to wander around. I was still a little upset and bitter how she can just do that.. What do you expect? Me- all smiling? I wonder how she would feels if the table turns, however I would never do that. I wander around a little by myself and it was great, the air was fresh and the scenery was just beautiful.

Off to Paris we go. Great, I guess I have to prepare for the rule Frenchy. The whole ride to Paris, Wendy was being extra nice to me, since she knew I was still piss what she did. She made Kristy, Craig and I a sandwich. Yes, sandwiches during our rest stop. Somehow the Italian guy, who came to visit last night- brought her food, which includes a loaf of bread, meat, some kind of dry mushroom and rice to take home to US. I found that was sort of odd, especially for a guy would do something like that. Maybe that’s love or Wendy asked him too. Anyways, I just listen to my music and read my book- I pretty much ignored her and talked to her when I have too.

Paris! (Re-post from Journals)

I love Paris! I can't wait to go back! I guess I had a really nice time there. I expected the people of Paris to be mean and rule, but everyone we encounter was so nice- even though I have no ideas what they were saying? I guess their smile and friendliness was all I needed.

Everyone knew the bus ride to Paris was going to be a long one. Somehow, I didn't think it was that long- maybe I've gotten used too it. We finally arrived in Paris around 6pm. By the time we got to the hotel, we raced up to our room to freshening up before we rush back downstairs for dinner. Then Craig drove everyone around Paris for a mini tour, while Kristy gave us some highlights on Paris. Such as the Opera House is where the Original Phantom of the Opera is said to have lived or the Louvre is the 2 nd largest museum in the world and if we spent 5 mins on each exhibits in the Louvre- we would be there for 9months. I guess, it's something to do if you're pregnant.. j/k.. haha.. We were schedule to go up to the Eiffel Tower tonight, but didn't have enough time so instead we were dropped off for 30 mins to take some awesome pictures and will come back first thing tomorrow. We circle the Arc de Triomphe 2 times; it was great –since I don't plan to go there the next day. We got back to our hotel and I just told Wendy-what the itinerary was for the next day and she was fine w/ it? I guess she must be really tired, she fell asleep after I came out of the shower.

We went up the Eiffel Tower @ about 9ish. Once we got up to the top, I wasn't really impressed. Yes, I'm really on top of the Eiffel Tower, but it's no different from any high structures. I took a few pics., but Wendy was too much –how many pictures do one need? Thirty-Forty? I’m not kidding you. Next we went to the Louvre and there were no lines. Yes! We checked out Mona Lisa, which was aright-she is definitely looking at you at different angle. Too bad pictures were not allowed. We walked around the museum and left after the Venus de Milo. The Louvre was aright; I guess I'm really not an art person. Beside I think the Da Vinci Code hyped it up a lot or maybe after Rome and the Vatican I had enough of art stuff and Cathedrals. It was just so nice and wonderful, standing outside the Louvre's @ it's courtyard–I can't believe I'm really here! =) What a great feeling!

Since we were done with the Lourve within 1.5 hours, there was extra 1.5 hours to spare. We walked around and we both got a Ham & Cheese Crepe. Wendy loved it, but I hated it. It just don't taste right, after 3 bits I just had to throw it away, while Wendy thought it was a waste. There were a dozen of street vendors, stores selling all type of souvenirs from postcard, shot cups, T-shirt etc. I decided to get a Nutella Crepe w/ whip cream, since I was hungry. Man, this crepe was simple but good. (Sometimes the simple things in life are the best things in life.) We checked out the Notre Dame Cathedrals, =) somehow it reminded me of Disney. We didn't go inside; I wanted to light a candle to God and say a prayer like Linda did, but not with Wendy there. I think God will understand.

After we check out Basilique du Sacré Couer, We were really confuse and got lost getting there. We were in the right neighbor but didn't know how to get there, we must have asked 7 people and couldn't understand what they were saying, but they were all so nice and they were really trying to get us there. We finally saw the signs and went up 3-4 flights of stairs-man it was a workout. I was hecka laughing at Wendy, when I was waiting for her at the top of the stairways. She kept saying this was going to kill her. We finally got up to the top and to our surprise there was an elevator on the other side of the Sacre Couer. Oh man, she was piss! I was hecka laughing because I thought that was a Kodak moment. Haha.. She took extra pictures, since it took her so much effort to get there.

After we got back to our hotel. I decided to check out the Internet, I was having trouble with the keyboards, all the keys were located differently compare to the US. Then we got ready for the Novella Eve's show in the Moulin Rouge's area. The show was a bit corny and not really worth $100+ however no one drank the bottom of red wine at our table, it was all for me and I drank ¾ of it, so I was a little buzz. (You gotta love red winde w/ food.) That buzz sure help make the show a little funnier to watch, especially the part where one of our tour mate volunteer to go up. We definitely cheered him on!, when he was trying to do some sexy moves-that wasn’t sexy at all, sort of funny dorky but he was a good sport. I was embarrassed when Wendy was brattling to Elijah that one of her gf's family own lots of hotels in Australia where he was from. When he asked her which one, she just say I don't know but a lot. Maybe it's true, but she definitely sound likes a Freaking liar. I was sat there drinking my red wine away.

After the show, everyone dropped by the bar for the last time. We didn't plan to stay long, but I could tell Wendy wanted too; especially some of the girls were finally talking to her. (The ones that was making fun at her @ club space.) I told her she can stay and I'm going back to the hotel w/ the other tour mates, but I can tell she wasn't sure whom she would go back to the hotel with. (Trust me, I'm sure she would have stay or ditch me if she gotten the chances.) I was a little buzz when I was there at the club. I gave some hugs to the people that I’ll miss. Suddenly, a few of the girls I didn't like wanna to be friends and Wendy was so happy. We were dancing in a circle, some of them including Wendy went up the stage and after 10 mins or so; Wendy was up there again by herself dancing. Once again, the girls were making fun of Wendy again and when she came down, they told her that they would miss her. WTF, that was so fake! It just makes me sick! Somehow I went to talk to the others one last time and Wendy went off her own, it was getting a little late and I went to find Wendy, she was flirting with the security guard - that was wrong, the facts that she already has her so-called Italian bf. Anyways, I had enough and I told her that I'm leaving and she say we should stay a little longer and me being a little buzz and shouldn't have tell her the truth. But I did, I told her that what's the point? They are not your friends; they are making fun of you the whole time. Suddenly she agrees to go back, saying that she's not feeling crowd. After our stop at the hotel, I was trying to use up all my Euros at a local supermarket, buying all kinds of snacks for my family. I had 52 cents left and I just give it to Wendy. Somehow she manages to find a bag of cracker for 52 cents- that was funny.

Back at the hotel, when I was re-packing my luggage telling her that I can't believe the trip was already over, but I can't wait to get home to my family, friends and co-workers. I really miss my Tyra and mommy. She suddenly blurred out, I thought you don't like your mom? Yes, I was piss and replied back in a piss off tone that even though we always argue doesn't mean I don't like her. She's my mom and how can I not like her? She did a lot of things for me and even you. Still a little buzz and bother by her commit. I just blurted out, "Why are you trying so hard to impress? Why do you even bother to care? What is the point? Why do you even want to fit in w/ these girls? They are so fake! Etc etc.. it was a few sentences that I wanted to say during the whole trip. And she just replied back that it's ok, everyone's friend and everyone is fake. " Somehow, I just left it at that before I really say something I regret. So I finish packing and went to bed. Thinking maybe I shouldn't have say anything at all, then again I just had too..

The morning came and I wanted to stay an extra day and take the Euro-star back to London in the next morning for the flight, even though we booked the hotel in London. Wendy kept making excuses stating where can we go? I mentioned the Arc de Triomphe and the Musee Rodin. Funny how she mention where can we leave our luggage and I had an answer for it. The lockers at the hotel for 2 euro- you can store up to 24 hours. Somehow, I didn't argue w/ her too much. I figure I really like it here and was determine to come back for a few days in the near future. So I guess back on the bus/ferry to London. The bus back to London was half empty; many stayed in Paris or flew back from Paris. Man, it's really over- I admit I was a little sad but I'll be back and ready next time for Europe! On the way back, I thought she would talk to the rest of the group and instead she was sitting on by herself thinking, I wondering if it's what I've say from last night? Oh well, I'm just happy to be coming home.
