Paris! (Re-post from Journals)

I love Paris! I can't wait to go back! I guess I had a really nice time there. I expected the people of Paris to be mean and rule, but everyone we encounter was so nice- even though I have no ideas what they were saying? I guess their smile and friendliness was all I needed.

Everyone knew the bus ride to Paris was going to be a long one. Somehow, I didn't think it was that long- maybe I've gotten used too it. We finally arrived in Paris around 6pm. By the time we got to the hotel, we raced up to our room to freshening up before we rush back downstairs for dinner. Then Craig drove everyone around Paris for a mini tour, while Kristy gave us some highlights on Paris. Such as the Opera House is where the Original Phantom of the Opera is said to have lived or the Louvre is the 2 nd largest museum in the world and if we spent 5 mins on each exhibits in the Louvre- we would be there for 9months. I guess, it's something to do if you're pregnant.. j/k.. haha.. We were schedule to go up to the Eiffel Tower tonight, but didn't have enough time so instead we were dropped off for 30 mins to take some awesome pictures and will come back first thing tomorrow. We circle the Arc de Triomphe 2 times; it was great –since I don't plan to go there the next day. We got back to our hotel and I just told Wendy-what the itinerary was for the next day and she was fine w/ it? I guess she must be really tired, she fell asleep after I came out of the shower.

We went up the Eiffel Tower @ about 9ish. Once we got up to the top, I wasn't really impressed. Yes, I'm really on top of the Eiffel Tower, but it's no different from any high structures. I took a few pics., but Wendy was too much –how many pictures do one need? Thirty-Forty? I’m not kidding you. Next we went to the Louvre and there were no lines. Yes! We checked out Mona Lisa, which was aright-she is definitely looking at you at different angle. Too bad pictures were not allowed. We walked around the museum and left after the Venus de Milo. The Louvre was aright; I guess I'm really not an art person. Beside I think the Da Vinci Code hyped it up a lot or maybe after Rome and the Vatican I had enough of art stuff and Cathedrals. It was just so nice and wonderful, standing outside the Louvre's @ it's courtyard–I can't believe I'm really here! =) What a great feeling!

Since we were done with the Lourve within 1.5 hours, there was extra 1.5 hours to spare. We walked around and we both got a Ham & Cheese Crepe. Wendy loved it, but I hated it. It just don't taste right, after 3 bits I just had to throw it away, while Wendy thought it was a waste. There were a dozen of street vendors, stores selling all type of souvenirs from postcard, shot cups, T-shirt etc. I decided to get a Nutella Crepe w/ whip cream, since I was hungry. Man, this crepe was simple but good. (Sometimes the simple things in life are the best things in life.) We checked out the Notre Dame Cathedrals, =) somehow it reminded me of Disney. We didn't go inside; I wanted to light a candle to God and say a prayer like Linda did, but not with Wendy there. I think God will understand.

After we check out Basilique du Sacré Couer, We were really confuse and got lost getting there. We were in the right neighbor but didn't know how to get there, we must have asked 7 people and couldn't understand what they were saying, but they were all so nice and they were really trying to get us there. We finally saw the signs and went up 3-4 flights of stairs-man it was a workout. I was hecka laughing at Wendy, when I was waiting for her at the top of the stairways. She kept saying this was going to kill her. We finally got up to the top and to our surprise there was an elevator on the other side of the Sacre Couer. Oh man, she was piss! I was hecka laughing because I thought that was a Kodak moment. Haha.. She took extra pictures, since it took her so much effort to get there.

After we got back to our hotel. I decided to check out the Internet, I was having trouble with the keyboards, all the keys were located differently compare to the US. Then we got ready for the Novella Eve's show in the Moulin Rouge's area. The show was a bit corny and not really worth $100+ however no one drank the bottom of red wine at our table, it was all for me and I drank ¾ of it, so I was a little buzz. (You gotta love red winde w/ food.) That buzz sure help make the show a little funnier to watch, especially the part where one of our tour mate volunteer to go up. We definitely cheered him on!, when he was trying to do some sexy moves-that wasn’t sexy at all, sort of funny dorky but he was a good sport. I was embarrassed when Wendy was brattling to Elijah that one of her gf's family own lots of hotels in Australia where he was from. When he asked her which one, she just say I don't know but a lot. Maybe it's true, but she definitely sound likes a Freaking liar. I was sat there drinking my red wine away.

After the show, everyone dropped by the bar for the last time. We didn't plan to stay long, but I could tell Wendy wanted too; especially some of the girls were finally talking to her. (The ones that was making fun at her @ club space.) I told her she can stay and I'm going back to the hotel w/ the other tour mates, but I can tell she wasn't sure whom she would go back to the hotel with. (Trust me, I'm sure she would have stay or ditch me if she gotten the chances.) I was a little buzz when I was there at the club. I gave some hugs to the people that I’ll miss. Suddenly, a few of the girls I didn't like wanna to be friends and Wendy was so happy. We were dancing in a circle, some of them including Wendy went up the stage and after 10 mins or so; Wendy was up there again by herself dancing. Once again, the girls were making fun of Wendy again and when she came down, they told her that they would miss her. WTF, that was so fake! It just makes me sick! Somehow I went to talk to the others one last time and Wendy went off her own, it was getting a little late and I went to find Wendy, she was flirting with the security guard - that was wrong, the facts that she already has her so-called Italian bf. Anyways, I had enough and I told her that I'm leaving and she say we should stay a little longer and me being a little buzz and shouldn't have tell her the truth. But I did, I told her that what's the point? They are not your friends; they are making fun of you the whole time. Suddenly she agrees to go back, saying that she's not feeling crowd. After our stop at the hotel, I was trying to use up all my Euros at a local supermarket, buying all kinds of snacks for my family. I had 52 cents left and I just give it to Wendy. Somehow she manages to find a bag of cracker for 52 cents- that was funny.

Back at the hotel, when I was re-packing my luggage telling her that I can't believe the trip was already over, but I can't wait to get home to my family, friends and co-workers. I really miss my Tyra and mommy. She suddenly blurred out, I thought you don't like your mom? Yes, I was piss and replied back in a piss off tone that even though we always argue doesn't mean I don't like her. She's my mom and how can I not like her? She did a lot of things for me and even you. Still a little buzz and bother by her commit. I just blurted out, "Why are you trying so hard to impress? Why do you even bother to care? What is the point? Why do you even want to fit in w/ these girls? They are so fake! Etc etc.. it was a few sentences that I wanted to say during the whole trip. And she just replied back that it's ok, everyone's friend and everyone is fake. " Somehow, I just left it at that before I really say something I regret. So I finish packing and went to bed. Thinking maybe I shouldn't have say anything at all, then again I just had too..

The morning came and I wanted to stay an extra day and take the Euro-star back to London in the next morning for the flight, even though we booked the hotel in London. Wendy kept making excuses stating where can we go? I mentioned the Arc de Triomphe and the Musee Rodin. Funny how she mention where can we leave our luggage and I had an answer for it. The lockers at the hotel for 2 euro- you can store up to 24 hours. Somehow, I didn't argue w/ her too much. I figure I really like it here and was determine to come back for a few days in the near future. So I guess back on the bus/ferry to London. The bus back to London was half empty; many stayed in Paris or flew back from Paris. Man, it's really over- I admit I was a little sad but I'll be back and ready next time for Europe! On the way back, I thought she would talk to the rest of the group and instead she was sitting on by herself thinking, I wondering if it's what I've say from last night? Oh well, I'm just happy to be coming home.
