New Year Resolution
The holidays are over! So what are your resolutions for the year? Usually every year I would think of something before the year has ended, however I never really thought about it till 2 days ago, when Jane asked me. Even when Linda asked me yesterday at dinner and I wasn’t sure. Come on now, despite the fact that the year has changed and we may hope that it brings with it many changes, resolutions and new horizons. Let's face it; we can make serious efforts to lose weight, to change our careers, to treat people in ways that we would like to be treated and to live more healthy lifestyles and so on. But bear in mind, you are who you are; there are some things about ourselves that make us who we are. So, if you find that some of your resolutions don't seem to be coming to completing perhaps that is just how it is to be. Am I seeing things the wrong way? Do you feel I'm lacking in faith?I do have mixed emotions about the New Year this year. Whether it’s a never ending resolution year after year, I figure there’s no harm of thinking up some. So here’s what I thought about last night or perhaps this morning when came home.
1. Work less and try to sleep at least 5-7 hours a day!
2. The main thing I want to do in 2007 is get my finances in order. After years of bouncing through my life without a plan for the future, piling up debt in low times and overspending in good times, I’m going to try to get myself together this time.
3. Another is to really start and stick to my Atkins, not only to lose weight but honestly be healthier with more energy.
4. Travel more and explore new things.. Weekend trips etc.
5. Lastly, just smile more and basically be happier.
Ok. I have a year to lo-ok back. Eventually I won’t be disappointed!
